Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

wie uns die Deutsche Post AG mitteilte, kommt es durch die Corona-Pandemie momentan zu starken Beeinträchtigungen im internationalen Brief- und Paketversand. Es ist daher mit erheblichen Laufzeitverlängerungen zu rechnen – teilweise können Sendung auch nicht zugestellt werden und gehen umgehend an den Absender zurück.

Wir sind bemüht, wo immer dies möglich ist, Ihnen Ihre eingesendeten und bearbeiteten Dokumente zurückzusenden, bitten aber um Verständnis, wenn dieses auf Grund der oben geschilderten Einschränkungen stark verzögert geschieht oder zurzeit nicht möglich ist.

Für den Fall, dass keine internationale Post in Ihr Land transportiert wird, werden wir Ihre Dokumente zwischenzeitlich sicher verwahren und umgehend versenden, sobald dieses wieder möglich ist.

Der Paket- und Briefverkehr innerhalb Deutschlands ist davon nicht betroffen und wird von uns wie gewohnt bearbeitet.

Anita Marguerita Pettenhofer - 18 January 1937 – 19 February 2020

Anita was born in Germany and emigrated to Australia in 1955.

Anita was a mother to, Ann and Harry and Oma to several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Anita was a respected Breeder, Conformation Judge and Breed Surveyor. Anita bred under the, “Hagenstolz” prefix, breeding many excellent graded animals and most notably, Hagenstolz Drawcard – Siegerin in 1996, Reserve Siegerin in 1994 and twice Gold Medal Winning Bitch in 1993 and 1995 and Bronze Medal Winner in 1994. Anita gained her ANKC Judges Licence in 1972 and became a Breed Surveyor in 1977.

Anita was involved during the time of the Australian Importation Ban of the 1960’s and was the driving force behind getting Breed Survey started in the state of Victoria.

Anita was the first female SV Foreign List German Shepherd Dog Judge in Australia – something she was extremely proud of.

Anita was a friend and mentor to many and dedicated her life to the German Shepherd Dog in Australia.

Anita will be sadly missed by all who knew her and will never be forgotten. Tribute by Jenny Delucia

Ladies and Gentlemen:

In the light of the current events and the restrictions that the Corona Pandemic entails, very much to our regret we see no other remedy but to postpone the WUSV Universal Championship that was originally scheduled for June this year to

November 26th to November 29th, 2020

This is, of course, provided that the situation will have calmed down by then. The venue in Strasbourg, France remains the same. This decision was by no means easy for us but on the other hand this is not a matter of choice but of health and safety which enjoys highest priority from our side. It would be most irresponsible to expose handlers, staff, and spectators to unnecessary health related risks – leave alone other factors of uncertainty such as travel arrangements and hotel accommodations since nobody can predict for the time being when the ban on travelling will be lifted again.

We understand the disappointment and frustration that our decision might cause for some of you – but let us always put safety first. And if you look at it – the month of November will have many pros, too, since hot weather conditions will not be an issue and the competition will be much easier for our dogs than in summer.

So we are looking forward to meeting you in Strasbourg by the end of the year. In case of doubt do not hesitate to contact the WUSV Secretariat General. We wish you the very best and please stay healthy.
